Czernowitz (Chernivtsi, Ukraine) is a 600-years old city with distictive European architecture belonging to several historical periods. The Austrian-Hungarian period (1776-1918) is represented with several elaborate Belle Époque styles, such as Eclectic Historism, Beaux-Arts, Vienna Secession and Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) in series of magnificent pieces of architecture. "The Book of Chernivtsi" series of vandyke mini prints is dedicated to the urban architecture of this period, the names of the streets and places are also given as of about 1900.
